Ranveer Singh is one of the leading actors of Indian Cinema. He is also one of the most bankable actors today. He is known for his high energy and meticulous acting. He has number of successful films to his credit. His full name is Ranveer Singh Bhuvani. Very few people know that he is related to actress Sonam Kapoor (daughter of Anil Kapoor) . Ranveer Singh after finishing his education worked as a copywriter for reputed advertising company like Oglivy and Mather before switching to acting.
His got his first break in movies with Band Baaja Baraat and shared the screen with Anushka Sharma. His performance in the movie was full of energy. The movie worked at the box office and Ranveer earned the Filmfare Best Male Debut award. His second movie was Ladies Vs Ricky Behl in which he and Anushka Sharma again came together along with Parineeti Chopra, Deepanita Sharma and Aditi Sharma. He worked in the movie Lootere with Sonakshi Sinha. He worked for the first time with ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film Galiyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela. In this movie he was paired with Deepika Padukone. The movie did well at box office and Ranveer’s work was appreciated critically.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali played a pivotal role in Ranveer’s career and extracted the best out of him in his movie Padmavat. Ranveer Singh proved his metal again in one of the most difficult role in the movie Padmavat in which he shared the screen with Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. He protrayed the role of Alladin Khilji with great aplomb. He earned the Filmfare Critics award for best actor for this movie. His worked in the movie Gullboy which was based on real life story of rapper Divine. The song Apna Time Aaaye from this movie became a national craze. The film won 13 Filmfare awards and added another Filmfare Best Actor award in Ranveer Singh’s list of best actor trophies.
Ranveer Singh played the role of cricketer Kapil Dev in the movie 83 based on India’s famous world cup victory. He played Kapil’s role with perfection and deservingly recieved the Filmfare Best Actor award for third time in his career. Jayeshbhai Jordaar was his latest released movie.
