Raaj Kumar Songs

Raaj Kumar was a popular Indian actor who was known for his style and charisma. The actor was famous for his unique dialogue delivery.  He starred in many successful and popular movies. His real name was Kulbhushan Pandit and he was born in a Kashmiri Pandit family. Before becoming actor Raaj Kumar served as a Sub Inspector in police force.

He did a variety of roles and acted in the Oscar nomimated movie Mother India. He started his career with the movie Rangili. His roles in the movie Heer Ranjha, Pakeezah and Laal Pathar are one of his best works.  He shared the screen with legendary actor Dilip Kumar after a long gap of over three decades in the movie Saudagar directed by Subhash Ghai.  His work in the movie Tiranga in which he shared the screen with actor Nana Patekar was the movie was highly appreciated.

Raaj Kumar married an anglo Indian air hostess named Jeniffer Pandit and renamed her Gayatri Kumar after she accepted Hinduism. His work in the movie Dil Ek Mandir won him the Filmfare award for best supporting actor. Raaj Kumar’s favorite catchphrase which he oftened used in the movies was “Jaani”. This became very popular and is still used in common lingo in hindi movies. Raaj Kumar lived life king size and never compromised with his work.  Raaj Kumar had three children named Puru Raaj Kumar, Vastavikta Pandit and Panini Raaj Kumar. Puru Raaj Kumar and Vastavikta followed their father’s footsteps and tried their luck in bollywood, they worked in few hindi films.  Raaj Kumar has been part of some very memorable hindi songs which were picturised on him.
