Bipasha Basu is a  famous Indian bollywood actress and former model. She is known for her attractive looks and talent. She is married to actor Karan Singh Grover. Bipasha Basu started as a model when she was just seventeen years old. She was spotted by Model Mehr Jesia and she encouraged her to take modelling seriously.  Bipashu acted on her advice and participated in a popular model hunt contest called Godrej Cinthol Super Model Contest. She won this contest and also represented India for modelling contest held in Miami.

 

 

Bipasha started her career in bollywood with the movie Ajnabee. In this movie she shared the screen with Akshay Khanna, Bobby Deol and Kareena Kapoor.  Bipasha’s negative role in this movie was much appreciated and she won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. The movie Raaz directed by Vikram Bhatt was turning point in Bipasha’s career.  Her work and role was highly appreciated  and  won her critical acclaim. This movie established her as a dependable leading leading actress.

Bipasha worked in many other successful bollywood movies like Jism, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Omkara, Barsaat, Corpoarate etc. The item song Beedi Jalai le from the movie Omkara became a huge success and became very popular among the masses. She worked in the multi starrer comedy movie No Entry starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Lara Dutta. This movie was a huge success at box office. Bipasha also starred in the movie Race 2. This multistarrer movie starring Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Bipasha was another hit movie of Bipasha’s illustrous career.

Bipasha is an avid fitness freak and has released her fitness DVD and VCD’s.  Bipasha has also done modelling and TV commercials for Dabur Honey,  Spring Fit Mattress, Real Active Juice and many other brands.
