Rani embarks on a journey to Colombo for a University Sports Tournament, where her exceptional talent shines through as she triumphs in every competition. Unfortunately, her joyous victory is marred by a debilitating leg injury, leading to her hospitalization.

Meanwhile, Kamini and Raja, deeply in love yet wary of societal barriers, secretly tie the knot as Raja was aware that his father would not approve of this relationship.

Amidst this clandestine affair, Captain Sundar, Kamini’s childhood confidante from Rangoon, arrives with the intention of proposing marriage. He is highly disappointed upon discovering Kamini’s secret union with Raja.

When Raja’s parents learn of his marriage, they intensely oppose it, insisting him to leave Kamini and marry a woman of their choice. Defiant, Raja refuses to leave Kamini. He misunderstands Kamini and Sunder’s relationship and agrees to marry to a girl of his parent’s choice.

Driven to despair by Raja’s apparent betrayal, Kamini contemplates taking her own life. However, through the timely  intervention of Kishore and Sundar, the tangled web of misunderstandings begins to solve

In a culmination of efforts, misunderstandings are clarified, and reconciliation ensues. Raja and Kamini are reunited, while Kishore finds solace in marriage to Rani, who returns from her journey to Colombo.
