Jhansi Ki Rani (1953) Songs Music Storyline

Jhansi Ki Rani released in th year 1953 is a film based on historical facts. The movie is based on true story of Rani LaxmiBai, the brave queen of Jhansi who fought bravely against the Britishers.  The movie is directed and produced by Sohrab Modi who spent a huge amount of money in making of this historical film.  Actress Mehtab, wife of director Sohrab Modi played the central role Rani Laxmi Bai. Mubarak, Ulhas, Sapru, Ram Singh, Baby Shikha, Marconi and Shakila. Music of the film is created by Vasant Desai.

Jhansi Ki Rani Storyline

Rajguru (played by Sohrab Modi) decides to do everything possible to make sure that Jhansi is remembered in the history. While pursuing his efforts, he meets Manu, a young girl, who is brilliantly portrayed by Baby Shikha. Sadly, a carriage driven by an English has hit Manu’s father. In spite of this Manu manages to gather a few children to confront the driver. Rajguru’s meeting with an elephant and her courageous acts have a lasting impact. He sees in her that she has great potential and starts mentoring her to turn her into a fierce and determined leader.

Rajguru mentors Manu and together they embark on a transformative endeavor, exploring the arenas of physical war and political rule. This is a phase of tutorage that prepares her for the forthcoming hardships. At the tender age of nine, Rajguru marries  Manu to Gangadhar Rao, fifty years her senior, the ruler of Jhansi. This union drives Manu into being queen, which is the start of Manu’s royal duties.

At the end, Manu, who is now Lakshmibai, undergoes a journey of sweet and bitter emotions of being a mother. However, the sadness of losing her son overshadows her joy. Unaffected by grief, she adopts a baby boy named Damodara Rao. Nevertheless, he makes her efforts to place her son at the right place to succeed her a bitter pill.

Lakshmibai takes the centre stage in the narrative, which then climaxes in the dramatic happenings of the 1857 Mutiny, where she bravely fights against the British armies. Notwithstanding her unwavering courage to the last moment, she dies of injuries, leaving behind a record of defiance and fortitude. The life tale of Lakshmibai is an amazing story that depicts the development of a courageous young woman into a legendary heroine in the course of a crucial era.
