About Jaya Prada
Jaya Prada is famous actress of Hindi and South Indian Cinema. She is known for her tremendous acting talent and beauty. Jaya Prada started acting very young in South Indian Movies and made a name for herself in South India. The story goes that Jaya Prada was offered only ten rupees for a minor role in the telgu movie Bhoomi Kosam. But this three minute role didn’t go unnoticed and many known directors started approaching her and offered her lead roles in their films. Soon she became a huge film star in south indian movies. She won the Filmfare Best Actress Award Telgu for her role in the movie Saagara Sangamam opposite Kamal Hasan.
Jaya Prada entered bollywood in 80’s. Since she was not very fluent in hindi it took some time to learn the language.
Jaya Prada worked in many bollywood movies like Tohfa, Aaj Ka Arjun, Sargam, Sanjog, Aakhri Rasta, Kamchor, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati and many other hindi movies. She worked with top bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Jitendra, Rajesh Khanna, Sunny Deol, Mithun Chakroborty etc. in her bollywood career.
Jaya Prada also had a stint with small screen and featured in serial Perfect Pati. She entered politics in 2014 and joined the Samajwadi Party. In 2019 she joined the Bhartiya Janta Party.
