Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival celebrated all across India and by the Indian community all around the world. This festival is celebration of Lord Ganesha’s arrival from Kailash Parbat with his mother Parvati. On this festival hindus bring beautiful idols of Lord Ganesha into their home. This idol is established in the home for ten days. Fruits and sweets like modak are offered to Lord Ganesha. Regular Aarti, Bhajans and Songs of Lord Ganesha are chanted during this festival. It is believed that Lord Ganesha removes all obstacles, brings happiness and good fortune. After ten days the Lord Ganesha’s idol is immersed in river or water with lots of celebrations, colours, dance and chanting name and songs of Lord Ganesha.
